    Triplets Turn One

It’s official, the triplets are one! We made it through the first year with triplets | 5 kids under 5! They survived and so did we, hallelujah! Actually, they turned one back in May, but we had so much going on at the time, plus celebrating my daughter Izzy turning three (her bday is only 11 days before theirs), that we decided to wait a month to have the big party. *This post contains affiliate links which help support these sweet babies and our other children while I am a SAHM. Our Triplets: The Birth Story

The journey that God has taken us on since the birth of our triplets has truly given us a run for our money! So many hills and valleys; so many answered prayers. Looking back, I felt so anxious as the c-section date approached. Though I searched, I was unable to find many articles on what to expect from a c-section for multiples. And, let me tell you, a c-section with multiples…at least higher order multiples, will probably look a bit different than your traditional cesarean. For that reason I wanted to share how the birth of our triplets went, for any soon-to-be moms of multiples out there wanting to know what…

    Happy Father’s Day: A Father’s Perspective

*This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure for more info* It’s Father’s Day, a day where we stop and take time to honor the men who love their families well. We give gifts and cards that say ‘thank you’ to dads and talk about dads, but rarely do we get to hear from a dad. So, today on the blog my husband is guest posting from the perspective of a dad…and not just any dad, but a dad with five young children under five! He is such a blessing to me each and every day. I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged by what he has to say.…

Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

I’m a little ashamed to admit that Father’s Day snuck up on me this year. After all, my husband is the most amazing man who proudly wears the title of “Dad”. This past year he really stepped up to the plate as he became a father of five overnight, and he rocks it! Things have just been beyond busy lately. Our calendar is bursting with birthday parties, spring soccer games, and swimming lessons. Add to that planning for the triplet’s first birthday party and my mom having surgery, and you can see why I was panicking a little about Father’s Day. Lucky for me, my husband is very laid back…

    Triplet Pregnancy Journal Entries-part 2

*This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure for more info.*   Journal Entry: March 26, 2017 ”To trust God in the light is nothing, but to trust Him in the dark…that is faith.” – C. H. Spurgeon “God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called” – Unknown I am about 25 weeks now. Next week I will be admitted into the hospital for (hopefully) 6 weeks of monitoring until the c-section. While I know it is what is best for you I am still dreading being stuck in a hospital room for 6 weeks. I will miss your Daddy, and brother and sister very much. My…

    Triplet Pregnancy Journal Entries-part 1

*This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure for more info.* So, I thought that since I was not blogging during my actual pregnancy that I would share some excerpts from the journal I kept during that time. I kept a journal with each pregnancy and wrote as if I was writing to my baby, or in this case…babies. It is not only special for me to be able to look back and re-live those memories, but one day each child will be able to read it also. These are real, raw segments from my journal. They have not been edited to have better “readability” or have a…

    Unexpected Blessings: Our Triplets

*This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure for more info.*   Breathe…just breathe. Did she really just say three?  The room was dark and cooI as I sat on an ultrasound table; my husband trying hard to pay attention while simultaneously keeping an eye on our 3 year old son and 20 month old daughter, who were intent on not sitting still. I was staring at what was probably the biggest shock of my life. There on the screen in black and white, were three precious, perfect, tiny little humans; three tiny little heartbeats…triplets! In less than five minutes my day had gone from just another day, to…
